Famous Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has revealed that he still stands by his support for the New Patriotic Party government.
Prior to the 2020 Presidential election, Sarkodie in one of his hit songs supported the reelection bid of President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo with the argument that he has benefited from some of their policies.
Speaking in an interview on 3Musiv TV, Micheal Owusu Addo popularly called Sarkodie stated that he still stands by his support for the President and his government because he has benefitted from some of their policies.
What I said he [Nana Addo] should ‘’toaso’’, I still stand by it because I think I benefited from free education directly and I have the right to say I endorse that because this is directly. My mum has these girls we have been supporting. At first, she would call asking me to help. I am not saying it is much but just the fact that I am not even hearing that, it came from that place, and I was specific about what I was endorsing,’’ he stated.
