Volta Region will host the 66th Independence Day Celebration.
The Volta Region will host the 66th National Independence Day Celebration on March 6, 2023 at the 5,000-capacity Ho Youth Resource Centre in Adaklu Tsrefe.
This decision was announced by the Director of Operations at the Office of the President, Mr. Lord Commey, who stated that President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo chose the Volta Region as the host in honor of its people and to diversify the locations of the national celebration.
“The President has sent us to inform you of his decision to honour the people of Volta by getting the Region to host the 66th anniversary of Ghana’s independence. The Independence square alone cannot continue to host this key celebration of Ghana’s freedom. He has decided this year that it is the turn of the Volta Region – the oxygen city of Ghana. Mr Commey stated.
